I'm sitting here on my couch in Houston Texas. I'm going through the motions of my everyday life, but my heart and my prayers are in a very small town called Fort Meade in Florida. On January 7, 2013, my almost 92 year old grandfather took his last breath here on earth due to cancer. My heart is so sad for this world losing such and amazing man. Like he too knew, his last breath wasn't the end of him, but the beginning of his eternity in Heaven. He has left an incredible legacy to those who have been fortunate enough to know him and be around him. He was one of the kindest and most faithful men I have ever known, and I have forever grateful to have been his granddaughter. Below is a little video I wanted to create in tribute to my Grandpa, Durwood Durrance, with his obituary at the end. Songs are Blueberry Hill by Glenn Miller (my grandparents song) and I'll Fly Away by Johnny Cash (one of his favorite hymns).
